Tier of Tournament Play: PREMIER
Premier events are the highest level of competition for Fantasy Flight Games tournaments, and all players, judges, and tournament organizers involved are held to the highest levels of conduct. Players are assumed to be familiar with the game’s rules, as well as the latest FAQ and tournament rules, and should expect all rules to be strictly enforced. Regional Championships, National Championships, and World Championships are premier events.


TEAM COMPOSITION
1. All models and cards released until October 16th are eligible to be played.
2. Lists of 100 points.
3. FAQs and errata's published until the date of the event will be applicable at the tournament.
4. In round 1, teams will be paired randomly. After that the Swiss system will be used. Total Team Margin of Victory Score will be taken into consideration when determining rankings between teams that have the same points.
5. Each round will last for a total of 90 minutes. At the ETC, a round is divided into 15 minutes of pairings and 75 minutes of game time.
6. No proxies are allowed at the event. Team of 6 players. Each team must submit a list of squad for each player. Two lists from each faction. Players will use the same squad for the whole tournament. Each player must indicate the three obstacles in their squad list and deck damage you want to use; and will be the same throughout the tournament.


RESTRICTIONS
Unique named pilots and upgrades may only appear once in a team. Pilots have different versions depending on the faction to which they belong, also they count as unique. There can be no identical lists in a team’s roster. Each player must also specify which 3 obstacle he/she will use throughout the tournament in his squad list. Both asteroids and debris fields can be used for obstacles. Each player has to choose one damage deck for the whole tournament. If in doubt, please consult the organization before sending a wrong squad list.
We understand that to participate in a premier tournament players know the rules and know how to make their armies properly. To help players and facilitate the work of the organization, we recommend using the application for making squads and sending them: http://geordanr.github.io/xwing/


SQUAD ERRORS
If a team sends a list that contains an error shall be punished with lost of initiative decision or points lost for the team, depending on the severity of the error or intent. The organization will contact the team to communicate and solve the error.


PAIRING SYSTEM
For round one, teams will be paired randomly. For rounds 2 to 4, teams will be paired using the Swiss Chess system (i.e. 1st on the leaderboard plays 2nd, 3rd plays 4th etc.), with the exception that rematches will be avoided. Total Team Margin of Victory Score will be taken into consideration when determining rankings between teams that have the same point.

The teams will be paired using the following system:
1. Team A and Team B simultaneously put up one of their 6 squads.
2. Team A puts up two squads to possibly face the one put up by Team B, Team B does the same.
3. Team A chooses one of the two squads put up by Team B to be played against the squad first put up by team A and determines that pairing, Team B does the same.
4. The squads that did not get chosen return to the team pool.
5. Team A and B simultaneously put up one if their 4 remaining squads
6. Team A puts up two squads against the one put up by Team B, Team B does the same.
7. Team A chooses one of the two squads put up by Team B to be played against the squad first put up by team A, Team B does the same.
8. The squad of Team A that did not get chosen by team B plays against the last squad remaining in the pool of Team B. The squad of Team B that did not get chosen by team B plays against the last squad remaining in the pool of Team A.
Once the pairings are done the players move to their tables and proceed with deployment.

Star Wars X-wing Miniatures Game Rules of Play and all applicable Errata and FAQ’s shall be applicable for the game rules and deployment prinicples. Each player sets forth it’s chosen obstacles to the board at the same time to form an obstacle pool of 6. Then they proceed to place them as usual, picking any of the six pieces from this pool of obstacles.

PUNCTUALITY
The tournament will start with the First Round at 16:30 am, every team registered but not in the place of the tournament at 16:30 pm will receive a penalty. If you arrive with a delay of 5 minutes, one random defeat for the team. Two defeats if they delay 10 minutes; round and lost to the team if the delay exceeds 20 minutes. No refunds of registration for being late to the tournament. If a team wants to cancel your pre -registration must notify the organization by mail at least 7 days before the tournament. Otherwise, no refunds of the pre-registration will accepted.


PRE-REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
Pre-registration starts on Wednesday, 18th of September at 9:00am, in order of arrival of the inscriptions. To perform the pre-registration of the tournament, you have to do it via mail by sending a single email to petreosvalencia@gmail.com for the whole team, including: Team name, names of the 6 members, phone number and name of the captain, who will act as Permanent Representative to the organization. No pre-registration group accept more than one team, each team registration will have to be done individually. All incorrect applications will be returned and group automatically canceled.

Each team must provide the composition of the 6 squad list to the organization before October 16th at 23:59. Players must use the same squad for the whole tournament, including the same ship cards and upgrades; as well as obstacles and damage decks. Team rosters will be sent to email petreosvalencia@gmail.com . The squad lists all the teams will be published after correction; and, except errors, they may not be modified in any way. In case of an error (points, upgrades, composition) detected the captain of the team will be contacted by the organization to try to correct it and advised the appropriate sanction.

The organization will send the account number for the deposit / transfer and thus confirm the registration of the team, after verification of the pre-registration. The concept of the deposit / transfer must indicate name of the team captain. We encourage all teams to the tournament with the payment receipt and ID to check the ownership of players. The receipt may also be sent to the organization for verification of income.

No refunds accepted past october 15th.


GENERAL INTEREST
Each player should carry a core set of X-Wing and all additional components needed for their squads, including (but not limited to) the dice, range ruler, maneuver templates, his/her 3 obstacles and a full deck damage.
A player may not use more than one copy of each obstacle. The organization is not required to provide any component players.

The organisation will check damage decks randomly for the duration of the event. Any irregularities will be sanctioned.
